The Apache Maiden

You are currently viewing The Apache Maiden
In the valleys secret shade, Where the wildflowers bloom,
A maidens love is gently laid, Beneath the silver moon.
Her whispers kissed the morning breeze, Soft as eagles plume,
In her heart, the spirits seize, A love that does not doom.

The mountains echo back her song, A melody so pure,
In the night, both bright and long, Her love will endure.
Rivers carve the earths embrace, With paths both wild and free,
Like her loves enduring grace, Flowing endlessly.

She dreams beneath the starlit sky, With hope that never fades,
In the stillness, deep and high, Her sacred heart invades.
The ancient pines give silent cheer, To passions that belong,
In the silence, loud and clear, Her heartbeat stays strong.

Among the hills and golden grain, Her spirit finds its home,
With every joy and every pain, Her love is never alone.
Eternal as the twilight gleam, Her story lives and grows,
In the soft light of a dream, Her endless love bestows.

Oliver Stone, a pen name, is an author deeply influenced by Apache wisdom and the natural world. Born in Silver City, New Mexico, his life journey includes service in the Marine Corps and a career in non-profit management. Stone's connection to Apache teachings began in his childhood, as his father was fortunate to learn from Tahoma Whispering Wind, a revered Apache elder, during his time at Mary Himes' Poor Folks Farm in Dry Creek. This ancestral link to Tahoma's wisdom ignited Stone's lifelong passion for Apache philosophy and practices. Drawing from his father's teachings and his own diverse experiences, Stone now dedicates himself to bridging ancient Apache knowledge with modern-day challenges through his writing. His work, including "Spirit of the Wild: Reconnecting with Nature's Wisdom," aims to help readers reconnect with nature, find inner peace, and live harmoniously with the earth, reflecting the deep respect for nature and interconnectedness central to Apache philosophy.
